Choose to be Successful

At some point I have lived a life filled with chaos and uncertainty longer than I wanted. It has been a roller-coaster ride and I came to realize that anytime I was facing struggles, it was hard for me to see the path to a change or to success. Yet, that path is always there and the solution is to embrace these challenges. Going through challenges helps you develop a hunger for a better life.

Sure, being broke and struggling is never desirable, but this is also part of the process of attaining success. For succeeding it is inevitable that you take the right action and ask the right questions in the midst of your struggle.

Never Give Up

Life is definitely full of disappointments, ups and downs and challenges. No doubt about that. These difficult times in life can elicit strong emotions that range from feeling frustration in general to feeling like an outright failure and wanting to give up right away.

What is your purpose
February 5, 2015

What is your purpose?

When I talk to you about your purpose we are not talking about you becoming a pilot, a famous movie director, a professional basketball player, or a manager of a highly successful night club.

These are job positions.

They are very worthwhile and achievable goals. If you are trying to use your given talents and become successful, then these are very worthwhile things to shoot for. However, these things are not necessarily what your purpose is.

You will never be merely a psychologist or business person … not unless you allow this to happen to you. Or unless you spend your whole life letting your career entirely define you. If you are willing to allow that to happen, then it’s destined to happen.

Happy New Year 2015

Happy New Year

And so it begins … we are pestered with all sorts of top ten lists and tv shows talking all about the best of everything. Not only that, but your world was just inundated with all sorts of hyped up parties and other events that may have been a total let down. With celebrities giving all of their swanky New Year’s Resolutions, one is going to start thinking of having to give to charity, trimming down, hitting the gym more and bringing on more promises to themselves that always seem to get broken.

To be honest … there really is nothing worse than the type of pressure that we put on ourselves time and again to come up with resolutions that are basically only in place to suit others. There is absolutely nobody that wants to be left feeling as though they are less of a person, simply because they do not have a resolution to share with others. However, you find yourself over and over again being asked what your resolutions are.

Soulmates

My Soulmate

I believe that every single person has one other person somewhere in the world that is destined to be with them forever, to complete them. Not especially in a romantic relationship, but rather in terms of a deep, true and lasting friendship.

Some people call this person a soulmate … and my blog post right here is something I’d like to dedicate to this special person who suddenly appeared in my life and whom I can hardly miss anymore. You can be sure, that there will always be a place for you in my heart and you will always be remembered!

There is this misconception that a soulmate is a person which brings you happiness. This is not necessarily the case. Rather, a soulmate is actually someone who is perfectly suited to you when it comes to assisting you in completing your spiritual journey.

Have you thought of Volunteering

Have you thought of Volunteering?

These days the economy isn’t that good, and each time you turn on the news you’ll hear even more bad news. With unemployment at an all time high, many homes are being foreclosed upon and Wall Street is doing really bad. It’s nearly impossible to keep your head above all of this financially, and staying positive is more of a challenge than ever. To keep your head is tough, but here is one way to help lift your mood and improve other peoples lives: Start volunteering.

As the economy continues to fluctuate, more and more people are starting to volunteer. If you think about it, you may have been too busy before to volunteer and now, you have all the time you need. There are many great advantages to volunteering and you will also improve your mind, spirit and the economy by volunteering your time. I’ve been volunteering over 15 years in my local Basketball club, and here are some benefits I’ve come across:

Making this year your best year yet

Making this year your best year, yet

It’s been a while since New Year suddenly and unexpectedly arrived. Now, more than two months later, I’m still working on making positive changes. It’s a constant progress.

The other day I wrote about being a „Thinker“, and I strongly believe that one of the most effective ways to effect positive changes in all areas of your life, is to make a change to the way in which you think. Get ready to get rid of “stinking thinking“, and get ready to live your best year yet. So, following up on how to be a thinker, I’d like to add some thoughts on how I’ve changed my way of thinking:

Pulling Yourself out of a Slump

Pulling Yourself out of a Slump

Sometimes I have a moment in life where the things I love suddenly become the one thing I hate. Sometimes this may come unexpectedly, other times, it creeps up and I feel it, but hide it away for a time. Regardless of how it happens, eventually, somehow I have to deal with it.

You may be passionate about a specific sport, style or about reading, you may be passionate about a specific form of exercise and then the next moment, you could care less about your former passion. It’s suddenly not exciting or fun anymore. You have no desire to do it any longer and you simply don’t care if you’ll ever do it again. You’re in a funk and you simply don’t care, worse, you don’t even want to care. You don’t know how it happened or why, and you have no clue if you’ll ever be able to climb your way out.

About Habits and Goals
February 11, 2014

Habits and Goals

To truly be who you want to be and live the life that you really want to live comes down to one important question:

Are your goals supported by your habits?

If yes, that’s great. Just continue with what you have been doing. If the answer is no, there are three options available to you:

Quit, change your goals or change your habits.

If you claim to want something, but spend all of your energy and time doing things that take you in a completely different direction than what you want, then it is time for you to be honest with yourself. What do you really want? More importantly, what changes are you willing to make in order to get what you want?
